Each year 4th and 5th graders at Maple Elementary are invited to join our Global Readers Teams. This year we have 47 students participating in the Seattle Public Library’s Global Reading Challenge.
Our Maple Global Readers Teams will compete against each other at Maple, answering questions from any of the 10 selected library books. The winning team will then advance to the All City competition. If we win the All City competition, we advance to the online competition against a team from Kalamazoo, Michigan.
To build our team spirit and reward our students for their valiant efforts, we would like to purchase a T-shirt for each competitor.
Each T-shirt costs $7.77. To outfit all 47 of our Global Readers, we will need 47 T-shirts, for a total project cost of $436.07 including shipping and handling, tax, and 15% fulfillment.
