Fitness at Wing Luke Elementary School is personalized and individualized. Our PE program focuses on exposing children to a wide variety of sports, in order to build healthy patterns for lifelong fitness. We introduce a menu of exercise activities to our children, teach and develop skills, and then offer them opportunities to make choices, thus modeling for them the process of choosing healthy activities throughout their life.

Many of our children come from different cultures and do not experience a range of activities outside of school. Our families, busy with adjusting to life in America, depend upon Wing Luke to provide these opportunities for their children.

Lacrosse is a no-contact game that can be played in a gym or outside. Easy for young children and accessible to children with special needs, it encourages children to learn teamwork and develop hand-eye coordination. Lacrosse will offer another chance to capture the enthusiasm of our students, while enticing them toward fulfilling the ever-growing need for lifelong physical fitness.

I would like to buy lacrosse equipment to allow our students to learn and play. A “Soft Lacrosse Set” for 12 players costs $139.99 from Sportime. I would like to purchase 3 sets, for a total project cost of $545.76 including shipping and handling, tax, and 15% fulfillment.
